Required Assets

These are the following assets / needed to host a new clients website.

• Registrar Account Access *

  • This is the first point of accessing the domain name and managing it's settings. Without the Registrar there is no way for us to control where the website or any of it's sub-domains are hosted.
  • If all we have is access to the Registrar we can do our job. However, this may mean that we do not have a copy of the website prior to our relationship with this client. So we can do our job with the new wesbite but might need more access to manage old website files and data.

• Hosting Account Access *

  • If website is hosted in the same account as it is registered we can access this with those credential. If not we need the following:
  • FTP and or SSH Access to the root directory of the webiste.
  • Or a backup or the contents or the root directory if no FTP or SSH access is granted.

• Database access

  • If no access is granted a back up of the current database as an SQL file is needed.*

• Verification of Email Hosting Location *

  • This is to ensure that we do not make any changes that will cause the clients email service to experience any loss of data or service.

• Admin User Credentials for the Website *

  • If the current website is WordPress of any other CMS
  • Some times if we can not gain access to FTP, ans The Database the only way to backup the data is via WordPress Plugin.
