Medical Procedures
Blepharoplasty (blef-er-uh-plas-tee)
Plastic surgery of the eyelid, used to remove epicanthic folds, sagging tissue, or wrinkles around the eyes or to repair injury to the eyelid.
Otoplasty (oh-tuh-plas-tee)
Plastic surgery of the external ear.
Botox (bo-tox)
A purified form of botulinum, a neurotoxin causing botulism, injected in minute amounts especially to treat muscle spasms and relax facial muscles in order to reduce wrinkles.
Brow Lift
(AKA Forehead Lift) – Reduces the wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead, as well as those that occur on the bridge of the nose, between the eyes. Improves frown lines, the vertical creases that develop between the eyebrows.
Chin Surgery
(AKA Genioplasty & Mentoplasty) – The specific medical terms mentoplasty and genioplasty are used to refer to the reduction and addition of material to a patient’s chin. This can take the form of chin height reduction or chin rounding by osteotomy (os-tee-ot-uh-mee: the dividing of a bone, or the excision of part of it), or chin augmentation using implants.
Rhytidectomy (rit-i-dek-tuh-mee)
(AKA Facelift) – plastic surgery on the face for elevating sagging tissues and eliminating wrinkles and other signs of age
Juvederm
(juv-eh-derm) – a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to provide 9 months to one year of correction for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth).
Rhinoplasty (rahy-nuh-plas-tee)
Plastic surgery of the nose.
Body Contouring (Bariatric)
Surgical body contouring following major weight loss removes excess sagging fat and skin while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue. The result is a more normal appearance with smoother contours.
Mammaplasty (mam-ma-plas-ty)
(AKA Breast Augmentation) – Breast augmentation surgery involves using breast implants or fat, referred to as fat transfer breast augmentation, to increase the size of your breasts or restore breast volume that has been lost after weight reduction or pregnancy.
Breast Lift
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.
DIEP Flap (d-i-e-p or de-p)
(AKA deep inferior epigastric perforator artery) – In a DIEP flap, fat, skin, and blood vessels are cut from the wall of the lower belly and moved up to your chest to rebuild your breast.
Buttock Augmentation (AKA Brazilian Butt Lift, BBL)
Buttock augmentation surgery, sometimes referred to as a Brazilian butt lift when fat transfer is involved, uses implants, fat grafting or sometimes a combination of both to increase the size of your buttocks.
Mommy Makeover
The mommy makeover is a complementary combination of plastic surgery procedures done to help you get your pre-baby body back. It can include a mix of tummy tuck (to remove loose skin and regain firmness) and breast enhancement (which can include breast lift and/or breast augmentation).
Abdominoplasty (ab-dom-uh-nuh-plas-tee)
(AKA Tummy Tuck) Removes excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer.
Breast Reduction (AKA Reduction Mammaplasty)
Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.

CoolSculpting non-surgical fat reduction technology gently and effectively targets the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected.
Liposuction
Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportion.
Gynecomastia (ghay-ni-koh-mas-tee-uh)
Gynecomastia is a condition of over-developed or enlarged breasts in men that can occur at any age. The condition can be the result of hormonal changes, heredity, obesity, or the use of certain drugs.
Sclerotherapy (skler-uh-ther-uh-pee)
A treatment for varicose veins in which blood flow is diverted and the veins collapsed by injection of a hardening solution, also used cosmetically in spider veins to eliminate discoloration.
Labiaplasty (lay-bia-plas-tee)
A plastic surgery procedure for altering the labia minora (inner labia) and the labia majora (outer labia), the folds of skin surrounding the human vulva.
Brachioplasty (bray-key-o-plas-tee)
(AKA Arm Lift) – Reduces excess sagging skin that droops downward. Tightens and smoothes the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm. Reduces localized pockets of fat in the upper arm region.

Anesthesia
Tumescent Anesthesia
A technique for delivering local anesthesia that works by using high volume of subcutaneously infiltrated diluted lidocaine and epinephrine to numb and swell tissue (constrict blood vessels for less bleeding). This reduces the usual risks of local anesthesia and minimizes blood loss.
